Application: The PCH ring hammer crusher is suitable for crushing various brittle materials such as coal, cinder, coke, slag, red sandstone, shale, loose limestone, etc. The compressive strength of the material should not exceed 40MPa, and the surface moisture should not be more than 8% to 11%. For non-adhesive materials, the surface moisture can be controlled within 15%.

Its operation is optimal under the following conditions: material compressive strength ≤ 40MPa; surface moisture ≤ 8-11% (or ≤ 15% for non-cohesive materials).

Operating Principle

How the Ring Hammer Crusher Works: Simplicity and Force
The core principle of the PCH crusher is both elegant and powerful. Material enters the crushing chamber through the feed inlet. Inside, a high-speed rotor, equipped with multiple sets of freely suspended, heavy-duty ring hammers, spins with tremendous force. As the rotor rotates, the ring hammers swing outward due to centrifugal force. Incoming material is struck repeatedly by these swinging hammers, impacting against the breaker plates lining the chamber walls, and colliding with other particles. This multi-directional impact – hammer blows, material-to-plate contact, and particle-to-particle collision – rapidly shatters brittle materials into smaller fragments. Sized particles exit through the **grate bars** (sieve plates) located at the bottom of the chamber, ensuring precise control over the final product size.
